Accepting New Clients

Jenny Schinkten, LCSW

Jenny Schinkten is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with children, teenagers, adults, and families for over 20 years. She believes that it is important to meet clients where they are in their personal journey. Her goal is to connect with every individual that walks through her door and to empower them to be their own kind of beautiful. She recognizes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for her clients to feel they are benefiting from their time together.

Jenny enjoys supporting teenagers as they explore their self-identity, navigate relationships, and adjust to life transitions. She is passionate about empowering women of all ages to discover their true self-worth and values, encouraging them to live a life consistent with these rather than what society and culture dictate.

Jenny has experience working with adolescents and teenagers who have faced trauma, abuse, neglect, separation from caregivers, parental divorce, grief, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and other disruptions impacting their development. She earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Jenny has a young daughter and son, along with two dogs. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys exercising, gardening, cooking, spending time in nature, and reading. She works with adults, couples, and adolescents aged 13 and up.
